Mission Statement
Our mission here at BlooLabs Kennel in our breeding program is to produce Bloodhounds and Labradors conforming to AKC breed standards which have strong working instincts and excellent temperaments. Show quality is bred into our puppies. We will exert ourselves in placing our dogs in a working environment when possible. It is very rewarding to hear when one of our bloodhounds has saved a life.

BlooLabs Kennel Background
We established our kennel in 2000. We shopped for some quality puppies to get started. Our first black and tan female Bloodhound came from the Derby Line area, on the Canadian border. Another female Bloodhound, liver and tan, carrying a background pedigree of solid champions, came from Illinois from a top quality breeder who has brought many of her dogs to earn their championship. Our red girl came from Alabama; although she is a smaller Bloodhound bitch, her demeanor is very sweet. Our first male Bloodhound came from North Carolina from another top breeder, with a pedigree background of champions. Our yellow male Labrador came from Pennsylvania, with an excellent field trial pedigree background. This dog is calm and stays close by. Our yellow female Lab came from North Carolina, carrying show champion in her bloodlines. She is from a British bred bloodline, which is the traditional smaller size Labrador. Her pedigree consists of show champions.
When purchasing a dog or bitch for breeding, one must remember that there is no perfect dog; therefore we must choose carefully when doing a breeding so that one indifferent trait is offset by a great one.

We constantly improve our physical facilities, and here work is in progress on our main kennel block in May 2004. Beyond it is a grassy area where the dogs love to romp.
Here's the same building in 2007, with siding completed... ...and this is the new Puppy Building
